[Flashback] Créathon 2023: 5-day creative marathon on "health and care" comes to an end
Friday, June 23, marked the end of a 5-day Créathon for our 3rd-year engineering students.
After 5 days of intensive work, our students were able to present their innovative project this Friday to the Grand Jury, made up of professionals from the Valenciennes Hospital Center, the blood donation organization, the Fédération Française de la Retraite Sportive and the management of INSA Hauts-de-France.
But before we tell you more about the winners, a quick recap of this week is in order!

#Ingénieuses23: INSA HDF receives the jury's "coup de coeur" award
Following the nomination of the #Ingénieuses23 call for projects by the CDEFI, INSA Hauts-de-France received, this Thursday, May 11, 2023, the jury's coup de coeur award.
As a reminder, 178 applications were received at the CDEFI and studied by the various juries of the competition this year and 8 French engineering schools were selected. Among them, 5 prizes were awarded and we received the jury's "coup de coeur" prize for our file "Filles, Osez les Sciences" (Girls, Dare the Sciences), which includes all the actions that:
✅ enhances the place of women in the #engineering sector,
✅ combats #gender stereotypes
✅ encourages girls to pursue #engineering education and careers.

Double distinction at IEEE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON EDGE COMPUTING & COMMUNICATIONS
As part of its fruitful collaboration with IBM Research AI Hardware Center and the thesis of Hadjer Benmeziane, a team from the LAMIH computer science department has received:
- the Best Paper Award of the conference and
- the IEEE Open Source Science (OSS) Award for the open source code developed by Hadjer.
